Basic tuning chip for Shimano e-bikes.
With SpeedBox 1.2 you can double the speed limit of an electric bike from originally 25 km / h to 50 km / h.
When you use it, your display shows an actual speed of up to 23 km / h, then the speed indicator is fixed and shows the same value at higher speeds.
The electrical support of the motor is switched off when 50 km / h are reached.
How does the SpeedBox 1.2 work?
If your bike is not lit, the SpeedBox 1.2 for Shimano is always switched on. Once you've installed lights, you can turn on your tuning chip at will. You activate the SpeedBox 1.2 chip on the Pedelec control panel. When the lights are off, you can drive at 50 km / h. You can easily turn off the chip function by turning on the lights.
Assembly
To connect the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike, we use color plugs that are equipped with a key for the correct connection, so that the chip is really easy to install. We wrote detailed instructions and created videos with which every customer can install the SpeedBox.
If you want to install a SpeedBox in a brand new bike, you have to ride this bike at least 1 km before you start the chip for the first time.
Please note that operating such modified pedelecs on the street may be contrary to the laws in force in some countries. The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by the use of SpeedBox products. E-bikes equipped with SpeedBox products must not be used on roads, bike paths and public areas.
